Welcome to the website of The Minstrel Boys living history group. We are an Irish group that seeks to recreate the lives of Irish men and women who emigrated to the United States during the period of the American Civil War (1861-65). We are based at the

Ulster American Folk Park.

The name "The Minstrel Boys" comes from the famous Irish song of the same name which became a firm favourite with Irish soldiers fighting for both the Federal and Confederate states.

The Minstrel Boys is a member of Ulster Federation of Living History Groups.
