The battle descends into a vicious firefight as the Ulstermen and the 47th fire volley after volley.

Below Left: Attacked in front by the British, the Americans are suddenly assailed in the flank by the Iroquois.

Below Right: Desparately the Americans try to face this new threat.

The Ambush.

Above: Savage hand to hand fighting ensues as the Iroquois rush the American line.

Far Left: The victorious Iroquois begin to plunder the farmstead.

Left: The militia captain remains defiant “We have left our homes across the ocean to find a land where we could live free from oppression and religious persecution, we will never give in.” He is led away in chains. The Americans have the last word, the British march on to defeat and surrender at Saratoga.
